WHU team Vs Wolverhampton Wanderers?
Fabianski

Rice Balbuena Cresswell

Fredericks Sanchez Wilshere Masuaku

Anderson

Arnie Hernandez

Wish he'd go three at the back, but he probably won't.

Do not see how 3 at the back helps us at all given we had the worst defensive record in the league last season playing it for the majority of games.

Also think we should just be making one or two tweaks as it feels like we’re closer to our first XI yesterday.

Fabianski
Fredericks Balbuena Diop Cresswell
Wilshire Sanchez
Yarmolenko Anderson Arthur
Arnie

-------------------------Fabianski

Fredericks --Balbuena--Diop---Cresswell

-----------Rice-------Sanchez-----Wilshere

Antonio-----------Arnautovic------------Anderson

Subs:
Adrian, Ogbonna, Masuaku, Noble, Perez, Yarmalenko, Chicharito

Left out: Obiang, Zabaleta.

We need to out-do Neves and Moutinho in their midfield, plus double up on their wingbacks.

Trying to punch through the middle where they have three centre backs makes no sense.

Re: WHU team Vs Wolverhampton Wanderers?
I also think we would benefit not having Wilshere in the team Miike
Yesterday he got caught to often hanging onto the ball instead of releasing it when players were on. He also just pointed at the player that ran past him to cross for the first goal. The last thing we needed was another slow mid milder. Cannot wait until Lanzini is back but after yesterday with the change in position for Anderson it showed why we paid that money for him. He was the one pulling the strings. Wilshere looks like the new (old) Noble. Sanchez deserves to keep his spot and I would like to see more of Yarmolenko

Watched Wolves on motd this morning and the vibe I got was just the same as when I saw Bournemouth on the opening day of the season.
They are pacy, organised, together and are quite capable of ripping us a new arsehole if we strut and stroll and hash about the way we have so far this season.

Re: WHU team Vs Wolverhampton Wanderers?
he just seems slow of thought. remember back to players like Brady who were never the quickest but their decision making made them a yard quicker, Bishop was another. someone pointed out that break yesterday when he had time to lift a ball to Anderson who was clear, yet held on to the ball and was tackled

"yet held on to the ball and was tackled"

I've read a few times that holding on to the ball too long/overunning it was the main issue that the Arsenal staff had with him.

He was terrible defensively yesterday too. I'm amazed to read people on here blaming Masuaku for Arsenal's first goal yesterday. It was plainly JW's fault for failing to track his man.

I don't see how he can play in a two man midfield in front of a back four with FBs like ours.

Takashi Miike 3:39 ~

That's about right I would say

Wilshere doesn't deserve to hold on to his place after yesterdays extremely disappointing effort. He was caught in possession far too often & too weak tackling back for my liking

I was pleasantly surprised by Sanchez on the other hand & pairing him with Obiang (or even Noble at a push) would add a bit of much needed grit in the centre of the park

Anderson had a good game & has proved his best position as no10

We have to stop opposition being allowed to run at the back 4 & move the ball forward more quickly when we're in possession.
Wilshere has done neither in the games I've seen him play this season

Shaping up to be a cracking match this, two sides who are going to set up to play good football with plenty of quality on show.

Re: WHU team Vs Wolverhampton Wanderers?
Why do people persist in suggesting we play 3 at the back negative bollocks? Pellegrini does not play like this. U unfortunately he has not brought in the players to play a 4 either so we are fucked. This game is a draw. A shitty draw that leaves us deep in the shit. We can't win with this midfield and a 4 at the back including full backs that can't defend.

I’d hazard a guess we’ll win more games this season than we did last.

Yarmolenko

Antonio/Masuaku

Might be tempted to go 3 in midfield as they play a pretty rigid 5-2-2-1 formation and I think we could try and overrun Moutinho and Neves in midfield.

Re: WHU team Vs Wolverhampton Wanderers?
He won't play 3 at the back

Fabianski

Fredericks Balbuena Diop Cresswell
Rice Sanchez Wilshere
Snodgrass Arnautovic Anderson

Arnie is going for a test on Thursday apparently to see the extent of his injury. Hopeully it will be all clear but when do we ever get that kind of news

Re: WHU team Vs Wolverhampton Wanderers?
Antonio needs to see the wizard and ask for a footballing brain, you can see Yarmolenko gets frustrated with him. Noticed it last night when Antonio came on.

After watching last night and Saturday mine is

Fabianski
Fredericks Balbuena Diop Cresswell
Rice Sanchez
Yarmolenko Anderson Snodgrass
Arnie

I think this would make us more solid and match Wolves work rate. We can always bring on Antonio, Wilshere and Arthur if need be.
